Every Little Detail
Loving attention to detail takes a wedding from special to spectacular. It’s not the big things that matter, but the little things that make a difference. Infuse your wedding with thoughtful touches that tell everyone the day is close to your heart – and so are they.

Fabric

Plain bridesmaids’ dresses turn into masterpieces when the bodice and neckband are hand-painted with pink rosebuds; hand-painted colored sheering forms a matching train. (To get the look, hire local artisans or art school students to keep costs contained.) Pink rose bouquets mirror the hand-painted rosebuds on the dresses – and match the bride’s bouquet – artistically tying the elements together.

Jewelry

Jewelry is a girl’s best friend – especially if it’s vintage. Wearing the family jewels has sentimental value, but if you’re heirloom-free, vintage stores, estate sales and flea markets are fun places to pick up pieces that look like they’ve been handed down for generations. You can also age new pieces by brushing them with Vigor® Background Antique. (If you don’t like the look, Vigor® Aul Solvent will remove the antiquing.)

Ribbon

You’ll be amazed at the number of things you can do with ribbon – wrap gifts, adorn hair and gowns, tie bows on shoes, decorate tables and cards, make favors. Buy rolls in all your wedding colors (including white) and tie one on!

Cards

Handmade keepsakes make members of the wedding party feel appreciated. Bridesmaids’ cards – simple white note cards decorated with wedding colors and fabrics – become cherished mementos when you write a heartfelt note inside.
