Four Fantastic Friendship Finds
In Victorian times, it was considered bad luck to sign a card. Why tempt fate? Try giving special friends a more untraditional token of your appreciation. You’ll both feel lucky!

Lolllipops

  • In Japan, girls give chocolates to boys. Be unique and try lollipops instead. Tie a bow around the stick (what a great way to use up all that Christmas ribbon!); attach a Sweethearts® conversation heart and a personal note telling them what a treat it is to have them for a friend.

  • Sweet on someone? Don’t stop with lollipops. Go to the drugstore and buy sheer sachet pouches with satin pull string ties on the ends. Fill them with a selection of candy – Red Hots®, Sweethearts® and Hershey®’s Kisses™. Pull the ends closed and attach a personal note.

Candy Bags

  • Shower your loved ones with lots of hugs and kisses. Take a bag of Hershey®’s Hugs and Kisses™, remove the paper strips and replace with your own personal “love notes” (either handwritten or composed on the computer in a small font). Put in a pretty jar or a decorated box or bag, attach a personal note and tie with a ribbon.

Heart frame

  • Don’t just wear your heart on your sleeve – let that special someone put it on their desk. Buy a mini silver heart-shaped frame and insert a photo of the two of you sharing a special moment. It’ll bring fond memories – and thoughts of you – every time they see it. (Little red beaded frames are also great – especially for co-workers and teachers.)
