Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion finely chopped

  • 1/2 cup herb and garlic marinade, Lawry’s®

  • 1/4 cup ouzo (anise-flavored liqueur), Metaxa®

  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil, Bertolli®

  • 1/3 cup chopped fresh mint

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar, C&H®

  • 11/2 teaspoons bottled minced garlic, McCormick®

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 pound top sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients, except steak. Add steak; place in refrigerator and marinate for 40 minutes. Drain and discard marinade. Thread steak cubes on skewers. Grill steak skewers over medium direct heat or broil 6 inches from heat for about 10 minutes, or until steak is desired doneness, turning skewers occasionally.
