Romance and roses have been linked since Victorian times. In the language
of flowers, red roses say “I love you.” Whether you're nurturing
a budding romance or celebrating a love in full bloom, this ravishing
red rose arrangement shows your sweet sentiment.
Makes one centerpiece.
| You'll need: |
| 4-5 |
dozen stems of fresh red sweetheart roses |
| 6 |
stems of fresh red coxcomb |
| 6 |
stems of fresh pale pink orchids |
| 1 |
tall clear glass vase |
| Sharp knife |
| Floral wire |
| All items are available at most floral shops. |
Assembly:
- Using a sharp knife, cut the stems at a 45-degree angle to increase
the flower’s life. Roses are very susceptible to mold, so shear
off all leaves, except those just under the flower’s head.
- Fill the vase 2/3 full with water.
- Arrange the roses in a bunch, positioning an orchid or coxcomb every
few inches to make a symmetrical bouquet.
- Twine the flowers together with floral wire to help the bouquet stay
in a tight bunch.
- Refresh water every two days.
